Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish starting for England

National Team News

The big news coming out of the England squad this week is that Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish are set to start on Tuesday against Germany. Maguire would win his 50th cap for England.

Maguire has been in good form for Manchester United this season and has been one of the few shining lights in a difficult campaign for the Red Devils. Grealish meanwhile has not had as much involvement for Manchester City but has impressed when he has been given the chance.

Also coming into the team is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham who will earn his 15th cap for England at just 19-years-old. Declan Rice looks set to miss the game through injury and his absence paves the way for Bellingham to partner Kalvin Phillips in midfield.

What does this mean?

The inclusion of Maguire and Grealish is a sign that Southgate is looking to field a strong team against Germany. England are looking to get their Nations League campaign back on track after losing their opening two games to Hungary and Italy.

Maguire's inclusion is a boost to the team's defense. He is a physical presence and a good organizer. Grealish's inclusion will give England more creativity in attack. He is a skillful player who can create chances for his teammates.

Bellingham is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions. He is a good passer and tackler and will add energy to the England midfield.
