Early Life and Football Career

Terry Alan Crews was born on July 30, 1968, in Flint, Michigan. He excelled in football from a young age and earned an art excellence scholarship to attend the Saginaw Valley State University.

From NFL to Hollywood

After a successful college football career, Crews was drafted by the NFL's Los Angeles Rams. He spent seven seasons in the league, playing for the Rams, the Washington Redskins, and the San Diego Chargers.

In 2004, Crews retired from football and pursued an acting career. He gained recognition for his humorous Old Spice commercials and as Julius on the UPN/CW sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris."

Mainstream Success

Crews' breakout role came in 2013 when he joined the cast of the Fox/NBC sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as Sergeant/Lieutenant/Captain Terry Jeffords. The show has since become a critical and commercial success, earning multiple awards and nominations.

In addition to his work on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," Crews has appeared in numerous films, including "White Chicks," "The Expendables," and "The Ridiculous 6."
