Ralf Rangnick linked with Hamburg role
German coach 'tempted' by chance to take over at 2.Bundesliga side

Ralf Rangnick is reportedly being considered for a leading role at German second-tier side Hamburg. The 65-year-old is currently in charge of the Austria national team but is said to be interested in the vacancy at HSV.
Rangnick has a wealth of experience in management, having previously been in charge of clubs such as Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig. He also had a brief spell as interim manager of Manchester United last season.
It is unclear whether Rangnick would be willing to leave his role with Austria to take over at Hamburg. However, the German coach is said to be tempted by the challenge of managing a club with such a rich history.
Hamburg are currently 15th in the 2.Bundesliga table, just six points above the relegation zone. The club has struggled to find consistent form in recent years and has not been promoted to the Bundesliga since 2018.
The appointment of Rangnick would be a major coup for Hamburg. The German coach is one of the most respected coaches in the world and has a proven track record of success.
